Momdamentalism Definition
noun mom·da·men·tal·ism \-tə-ˌli-zəm\

A person who subscribes to a particular parenting philosophy to such extremes that they believe that everyone should make the same parenting decisions as they do. Significant markers include the inability to entertain ideas/research that counter their values, quick to defensiveness, put downs of those who disagree, and a deep love of preaching.  They are easily spotted when discussing topics such as breastfeeding, discipline, infant sleep, immunization, working parents.

Momdamentalists are hard to be around but easy to become.

Respecting parenting choices is important, y’all.
